About Me

My name is Shree. I recently lost my beloved husband Scott to sudden illness about 2 months ago, and my beloved mother to cancer about 7 months ago. Scott was my soulmate, my best friend, my rock, my go to person, and everything else.

One can say, we almost grew up together in a sense; we met right after his high school. My mother of course, one I was so lucky to be born to, was my strength, my best friend, and one who always had my back and loved me unconditionally.

The losses; even to say it in plural seems so surreal today, as it did on the day of their passing. The disbelief still hits me randomly at least a couple of times a day. My preteen son S (keeping name private) grieves in his own way. As we grieve, my son and I both continue with our normal routines- work, school, gym, dance, fellowship with friends and family, volunteer, host others in our homes, go to the park, and the rest. We have been very blessed to have a wonderful group of friends, and family by our side. So yes, for the most part we are okay and at peace.

I’m starting this blog as a way of healing and helping myself and others who may have gone through or going through such losses; be it passing of their loved ones or any other difficult situations, or tribulations in life. I hope it can bring some relief or something others can relate to.

I will write about my own grieving, experiences, inspirations and such. Some may be in form of a blog article, others in form of letters to Scott or my Mom, little blurbs on something good I come across, or maybe even a song, who knows !

My Mom and Scott are my North Stars. On our tenth anniversary, Scott had gifted me a Compass framed with this engraved- You are always my North Star, that guides me always and carries me Home. Today, both my Mom and Scott guide me Home- within me, in my internal Spiritual Journey, to God, to Love,to Joy, and to Peace, which in turn manifests to how I live my life everyday in a meaningful way. So despite these insurmountable losses, I Pray, Believe, Love, Live, Laugh, Give, Serve, and hope you can too.
